My name is Lisa Mazzaro. I graduated from Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy(CCMT) in April 2013 and am a licensed Massage Therapist in the state of CT (lic # 7004). Massage therapy is a big career change for me. Prior to this I earned an M.S. in Marine Biology and a PhD in Nutrition and worked at Mystic Aquarium for 21 years. Currently I am an adjunct professor at Goodwin College teaching Human Biology and Anatomy & Physiology and an adjunct professor at Three Rivers Community College teaching Introduction to Nutrition. I teach Jazzercise and have owned that business for the last 7 years. I have also been teaching country line dancing for the last 3 years. Additionally, I receive massages once a week and with the encouragement of my two massage therapists decided to make this career change. CCMT and continuing education provided me with a broad base of massage techniques which will allow me to cater YOUR individual needs. Techniques can vary from complete relaxation, to orthopedic, to sports to deep tissue massage. In 2016, I also received my certification in Cupping Therapy and am excited to be able to integrate this into my practice! We will discuss your confidential health history information and your goals and together develop a plan that works for you.
